Founded in South Africa in 2015 by Hayden Bouwer, DIVIZHÈN was born from a belief that true style exists at the intersection of contrast. Luxury and street. Precision and creativity. Heritage and innovation. Strength and balance.

The name is derived from the Latin concept of “division” — not as separation, but as the defining line that creates harmony. Every great design is shaped by contrast, and every individual is defined by the balance between different influences, experiences and identities.

Hayden’s journey began through an apprenticeship under renowned designer Tania Sutherland, where he developed a deep understanding of pattern making, garment construction and the discipline behind exceptional design. Design is also woven into the family legacy: his uncle, Mark Bouwer, established himself as an internationally recognised designer in New York.
